Girls Coach Pitch (GCP) 08U
In 8U softball, the pitching is done by a coach or an adult, using an underhand motion. This allows young players to focus on hitting and fielding skills.
The teams play against teams from other communities.
Score is kept, however, there are no playoffs.
Ages: Typically comprises 1st and 2nd graders.
American (10U)
Moving from 8U to 10U involves a few notable differences in gameplay:
Players Pitch: Unlike in 8U, players will now have the opportunity to pitch.
No Walks: However, there will be no walks allowed. In case of a walk, the coach will come in and pitch the remainder of the pitches available.
Coach also Pitches: This is a nice hybrid to help with development.
Stealing Third Base: Players will now have the ability to steal third base only.
The teams play against teams from other communities.
10U participates in Playoffs and All-Star Games
Ages: Typically comprises 3rd and 4th graders.
National (12U)
12U builds on the skills learned in 10U.
Players are the sole pitchers.
Stealing is permitted for all bases.
Dropped 3rd is now in play.
Ages: Typically comprises 5th and 6th graders.
Junior (14U)
Juniors 14U league is our oldest group of Recreational Fastpitch Softball Players
Only 9 players are on the field at time.
Pitching mound is at 43'.
Continuous walk is in play.
Ages: Typically comprises 7th and 8th graders.
